The Woodman Arms was established from two estate cottages built in the mid 16th century. It first became a pub called “The leather Bottle” in the mid 17th century selling only ale and porter became integral to the Angmering community from then until the present day.
Following a devastating fire in 2004 this historic 16th century thatched pub has been sympathetically rebuilt to a high standard while retaining its character and charm.
Karen, Brian and the team invite you to experience the unique hospitality afforded to all customers at The Woodman Arms.
The ambience is warm and friendly with fresh local food prepared and cooked daily. See our menu. Our food offering is accompanied by an extensive wine list, excellent cask ales and a wide range of bottled drinks including non alcoholic options.
Whether enjoying the log burning stove in winter or our award winning garden in summer, there is always something for people to enjoy while relaxing in a cosy friendly atmosphere.
We offer special meal deals. Monday Steak night where you get a steak at half normal market price (Excludes bank holidays), Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are FREE drink nights.
